The Lighthouse is a biblically based residential program for men. Admission is by interview with a staff member after a stay in the emergency dorm. Persons with a history of violent crime, sexual offenders, and those with mental health issues that are non-compliant with medications or untreated may be ineligible for the program.
The occupant will be required to attend a financial management class and biblical studies class. The occupant must abide by the policies and guidelines; must have income; subject to unannounced drug testing. The occupant will be required to participate in general housekeeping assignments. The occupant will be required to establish a savings account and 60% of disposable income must go to and remain in their savings account until they can find a suitable housing situation. More information along with expectations, policy, and procedure will be given during the interview process. The curriculum is a structured faith-based atmosphere designed to provide practical, emotional, and spiritual principles. Our mission is to help our occupants become emotionally balanced, socially adapted, and spiritually aware in preparation to become a self-sustaining, self-disciplined, active citizen in our society and in the community of Christ. |
